At Pro Scan Plus, we use Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for concrete scanning rather than X-ray methods. GPR uses electromagnetic radar signals and does not produce ionizing radiation, allowing our technicians to scan concrete without the radiation hazards associated with radiographic X-ray equipment.
GPR also allows us to perform many scans efficiently from one side of the concrete, helping identify embedded features such as rebar, post-tension cables, conduits, and other anomalies before cutting, coring, or drilling.
